 OLAM launched the project together with the Asian Development Bank and JICA. Believing that a favorable environment and a fair income for farmers are essential for producing high-quality coffee, OLAM worked to build long-term relationships with farmers. Under the farming guidance of OLAM's agricultural engineers, the farmers learned and practiced proper farming practices, which led to the acquisition of Fairtrade certification.
